
Lynne-Anne McGrail discusses her experiences and insights as an End-of-Life Doula and the importance of preparation for death.
Lynne-Anne McGrail is the founder of A Peaceful Transition, a division of A Better You, Inc. based in Los Angeles, CA. She has a Masters degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She is certified as a Life Coach, an End-of-Life Doula (EOLD) and Doula Consultant through Doulagivers International. She also has her proficiency badge from NEDA-- National End of Life Doula Alliance. Aside from her "official" certifications, Lynne-Anne feels she has been in training to become an EOLD her entire life. She first experienced death at a very young age when her brother tragically passed away at the age of 13 in a house fire. Later in life, she experienced a rapid series of deaths—among them her best friend, her dad (after a 7-year struggle with Alzheimer’s,) and most recently, her 32-year-old niece. These experiences generated a deep understanding of the fragility and preciousness of life, and how death can serve as a magnificent teacher in the art of living well.
