About this episode
This episode discusses the importance of being led by the Holy Spirit in managing emotions.
Over the last several weeks, we’ve talked about emotions like anger, shame, fear, grief, and joy. Emotions are real, and they matter, but they were never meant to control our lives. In Galatians 5, Paul reminds us that there is a battle happening inside each of us between our flesh and the Spirit. Culture tells us to follow every feeling, but Scripture teaches us to walk with the Holy Spirit. As we stay in step with Him, He shapes our hearts and produces fruit in our lives like love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control. The Holy Spirit helps us feel emotions without being controlled by them.
