About this episode

The episode discusses the narratives about motherhood and being a woman that hinder personal freedom and rest, and offers solutions to overcome them.

You crave rest, time freedom, spaciousness, and to be able to actually do things you want to do. (Both with your kids and without.) After all, doesn’t it seem like that’s what you’re supposed to get when you run your own business?! But in reality, you never take that time. Or if you do, you feel so horribly guilty or even shameful that you don’t enjoy it and rarely do it again. Especially if your kids are home! WTF is up with that?! This is a conversation I’ve been seeing come up with clients and friends in the last week, and I think we need to talk about it! Because I believe that we all deserve that spaciousness, presence, rest, and freedom, and that it’s totally possible. But unfortunately it’s harder than it sounds to get, and I’ll explain why. That’s why I went live in my free private Facebook group, Both/And Mamas, to talk about the narratives about motherhood and being a woman that are keeping us stuck, and what to do about them. I’ll be diving into 4 of the deeply ingrained narratives about motherhood and being a woman that I see affecting so many of us, where they come from, and what to do about them so that you can start building safety in rest, spaciousness, and time…
