About this episode
This episode discusses the connection between generosity, joy, and blessings in the context of the Kohanim and the teachings of Rebbe Nachman.
In Parshat Nasso, the Torah connects giving gifts to the Kohen with the Parshah of Sotah, teaching that generosity and simcha (joy) bring berachah (blessing) into the home. Rebbe Nachman explains that mitzvot done with simcha open the channels of berachah, especially through the Kohanim, who represent blessing. When a person withholds what belongs to holiness, it reflects inner constriction and sadness, which can affect Shalom Bayit and reveal deeper problems in the home. The Torah is showing two paths: harshness, suspicion and negativity, or simcha, giving and tefillah (prayer). By choosing simcha and supporting holiness, a person draws blessing into his life, his marriage and all of Am Yisrael. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.
