About this episode

Sean Weir shares his journey of overcoming personal tragedies and finding purpose through combat sports and faith.

Today’s conversation is with Sean Weir, one of the fastest rising names in Bare Knuckle (BKFC). Today people see the fighter. They see the knockouts, the confidence, the reputation, and the growing profile within bare-knuckle boxing. What they don't always see is everything that came before it. Sean grew up in Wishaw, Scotland, and from an early age was exposed to more chaos, tragedy and loss than most people experience in a lifetime. Throughout this conversation, he opens up about the deaths of loved ones, multiple suicides within his circle, losing his daughter, surviving a horrific car crash, and the dark periods that followed. At one point, Sean found himself in such a difficult place that he attempted to take his own life. This conversation explores how he found a way back. We discuss combat sports, his Christian faith, purpose, plant medicine, personal growth, and the transformation that has taken place over the last few years as Sean rebuilt himself physically, mentally and spiritually. Sean also shares the role Ayahuasca played in his healing journey, why he believes it helped save his life, and how it gave him a new perspective on the pain he had carried for years…
