Jesus has the the words of eternal life. Not for some future moment, but for today. In the Sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7), Jesus announces the arrival of God's Kingdom and what it means to live in the reality of God’s present kingdom. In Matthew 5:21 -32 Jesus gets stuck into how we live it out in our relationships with others - he turns his light on to big issues: murder and contempt for others, adultery and lust, and divorce. Underlying all this is his invitation to live a different way!
