About this episode

A 15-hour standoff at a bank in Bakersfield ended with hostages freed and the suspect killed, while California's primaries show potential Republican newcomers and legislation against military action in Iran passes the House.

A 15-hour standoff at a bank building in Bakersfield, California, ended Wednesday after all hostages were freed and the suspect was killed by the FBI.  As the votes are still coming in for California's primaries, it seems voters will likely send two Republican political newcomers to the November elections. And, for the first time since the war with Iran started, the Republican-led House passed legislation that would force President Trump to stop all military action against Iran. However, it still has to go to the Senate.
