Too many people think they have a consistency problem when what they really have is an impatience problem. In this episode, I'm talking about one of the biggest reasons people quit: they start doing the right things, but because they don't get an immediate reward, they assume it isn't working. That shows up everywhere. It shows up when you eat well for a week and the scale doesn't move fast enough. It shows up when you start changing your communication in a relationship and the other person doesn't immediately respond differently. It shows up when you begin showing up in a more mature, intentional, consistent way… but life doesn't instantly hand you proof that it's paying off. And that's where a lot of people bail.
