This episode discusses the recall of Orb Funkee squeeze toys due to asbestos contamination.
Vidcast: https://www.instagram.com/p/DZdMcVquaLO/ These toys contain fibrous tremolite asbestos in the sand filling, creating a risk of serious injury or death if the material is inhaled. Affected: Orb Funkee Gold Jumbo Monkee model 17451 and Orb Funkee Monkee Mega assortment model 41929 with date code 3102491A. About 121,340 of these toys were sold at Walmart and Ollie’s Bargain Outlet stores from February 2025 through April 2026. Stop using these recalled toys and take them away from children. Contact The Orb Factory at 1-800-741-0089 or by email at customerservice@orbtoys.com for a refund. You must verify the code and lot number of the toy, place the toy in a heavy-duty plastic bag, seal it securely with tape, and email a photo of the bagged toy. If the toy has ruptured or leaked sand, use a mask and gloves, collect the sand with damp cloths, place the toy and cleanup materials in a sealed heavy-duty plastic bag, then place that bag into a second sealed bag before disposal according to local or state regulations.
