Pastor Josh Mercer discusses the tension between knowing God's will and trusting Him enough to obey, illustrated through the life of Moses.
At some point in every believer's life, knowing what God wants and actually trusting Him enough to obey become two very different things. This tension is what the Bible calls a crisis of belief. When God calls us to join Him in His work, He gives us a God-sized assignment, one we cannot accomplish on our own. The life of Moses in Exodus 3 and 4 illustrates this perfectly. Moses made excuses, focused on his failures, and ultimately asked God to send someone else. But after all the hesitation, Moses obeyed, and the greatest moments of his life were waiting on the other side of that obedience. God is not looking for someone capable. He is looking for someone available.
