The Core Mandate: Love as the Primary Pursuit The Greatest Quest: Love is not merely a spiritual option; it is the ultimate pursuit of the Christian life. The Supremacy of Love: While spiritual gifts like prophecy, tongues, and miracles are desirable, they are "nothing" and "meaningless" without the foundation of love. The Definition of Maturity: Spiritual growth is not measured by the intensity of one's spiritual gifts, but by one’s capacity to love and forgive others. A Law of Necessity: Following Christ requires prioritizing love as a command, not a suggestion—loving God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself. II. The Purpose of Spiritual Power For the Body, Not the Individual: Spiritual gifts and anointing are given to serve and protect the "weaker" members of the church body, just as the most vulnerable parts of the human body are the most covered and cared for.
