Len Ward spent his early career on Wall Street, first as a stockbroker at Morgan Stanley and then through the equity training program at Credit Suisse First Boston. When a merger cut his role, he leaned into something he already knew about himself, that he was unemployable in the best sense, and started building his own businesses. An early high-end ticket e-commerce company taught him digital marketing the hard way, and the 2008 recession taught him how fast a market can vanish. That path led to Commexis, the AI consulting and product development firm where Len now leads the AI work. He walks through what he does for B2B manufacturing and service companies, starting with the least glamorous step of all, organizing the data, then installing what he calls listening devices, an AI chatbot on the site and one inside the team, so the right blueprint reveals itself.
