About this episode
Sr. Ann reflects on the challenge of choosing between God and worldly ways as illustrated in the story of Elijah.
In today’s First Reading, Elijah appeals to the people – how long will they straddle the issue? How long will they remain undecided between Baal and the true God? He then challenges the prophets of Baal to a contest to see whose god is superior. Do we act like the people in this story? Do we remain straddled between the ways of God and the ways of the World? Sr Ann reflects on today’s readings: 1 Kings 18:20-39 Psalm 16:1b-2ab, 4, 5ab and 8, 11 Matthew 5:17-19 Sr. Ann’s Books Deeper Conversion Extraordinary Grace for Ordinary Times More of the Holy Spirit Captured By Mercy This is a public episode.
