The party travels to the village of Menedék with a rescued widow, encountering strange occurrences along the way.
Travelling with the rescued widow, Ilona, the party heads to the village of Menedék. During the journey, they come across a wayside shrine and a delirious young boy. At Menedék, the travelers are given the choice of receiving hospitality, but an unsettling suspicion about the seemingly wholesome village nags at each of them, especially Dobrogost.
