About this episode

The episode features a conversation about egg freezing and the importance of community support for women navigating fertility journeys.

In today’s episode of Her Journey Home, I’m joined by Aliza Virani .She is the founder of The Fertility Co-Living, for a deeply honest conversation about egg freezing, fertility, hormones, stress, and what it really means to support women through this journey. After spending over $16,000 and navigating the isolating and emotionally overwhelming process of egg freezing alone in Canada at age 33, Aliza knew there had to be a more supportive and empowering way for women to experience fertility care. She went on to create a first-of-its-kind egg freezing retreat in Mexico City that combines medical care, holistic healing, emotional support, and sisterhood. In this episode, we open up about our personal fertility journeys, the emotional weight of receiving difficult hormone and AMH results, and the impact stress can have on our bodies. I also share my experience as an egg donor in my 20s, losing my period, and navigating my own fears around fertility and future motherhood. We talk about why fertility journeys are never one-size-fits-all, the importance of advocating for yourself, and how healing, hope, and community can completely transform the experience.
