After served 24 years in the US Army as an armored cavalry officer Ed Monk entered public education working as a history teacher. As a teacher he was shocked with way active shooter situations were handled and moved forward to address the national problem. Since 2011 Active Shooter Ed Monk has trained schools, churches, and businesses nationwide, helping them develop a training and response plan that will save lives. Last year retired Lt. Colonel Ed Monk published "First 30 Seconds." The book give no none-sense instruction to minimize risks and casualties in active shooter situations.
