How many people are still deceived?…… Yet there is no doubt there are people here who hold to some very serious doctrinal differences. Though no one put up their hand believing they are deceived NOW, it is evident that some are….might it be you? It is fair to say that there is not a single person in the world who likes being deceived. It is humiliating to what we like to think of ourselves. The entire notion that someone has lied to us and we believed it is hurtful at best. Yet it has happened to us all….and we are still alive. There is only one thing worse than being deceived by someone else, it is when we deceive ourselves. We convince ourselves that we are right on a matter, sometimes the correction comes mercifully early and humbles us immediately, sometimes due to our pride, more rope is given us to hang our pride once and for all.
