About this episode

Charlie shares an ecstatic prayer experience while discussing the corruption and expenditure issues in Illinois.

Charlie has an ecstatic experience in prayer made all the more joyful since it was both a foretelling of his eternal end but also a departure from descending back down to the state of things in Illinois. As the Roman historian Tacitus correctly declared: Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges, that is: When the republic is at its most corrupt, the laws are most numerous. How much more the case when the politicos and apparatchiks are so brazenly larcenous. Illinois and Chicago's expenditure (adjusted for inflation) has increased by about 80% while the population has decreased by 1%. Where did all that money go?! If it was distributed in a most equitable fashion, should not all of the plebs in Rockford, Naperville, Peoria and Cairo be much better off? Schools thriving? Roads, bridges, sanitation, and infrastructure better off now? Facts on the ground indicate no. Thus, pace Champaign's own REO SPEEDWAGON, time is long overdue for me to fly. www.hoth2ohistory.com @HotH2OHistory @chuckwest20 BUY TRIDENTINE BEER--the one good thing having arrived in Illinois for years: www.tridentinebrewing.com BUY GARY TRIDENTINE BEER-- www.buymeacoffee.com/garyrichied PAX.
