About this episode
The episode discusses the complexities of expatriation from the United States and critiques the current state of global conflicts and healthcare funding.
Should I stay or should I go now? If I go there will be trouble; if I stay there will be double. Seems to me the reveries of expatriation from the United States are so pleasing not because there is some paradise on earth where all problems melt away for the long haul but because the end of the empire here bears no resemblance to what attracted so many to America in the past. Schizophrenic death throws and suspension of belief in what our eyes, ears, and hearts sense and feel is what is being demanded of everyone in the West. The Lord of Heaven and Earth commands otherwise; not simps but peacemakers. Not fools, but the vigilant. Not the lukewarm, but the seraphic. China builds modern technological miracles lifting billions out of poverty. The United States wars with an otherwise innocent nation and kills its amazing people. Has armed Israel to do the same in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, Lebanon... The list is as exhausting as all the work that must be done to pay for all of it and feign as if nothing too bad is ongoing. Enough. Oak Park hospitals can't locate enough funds to operate while billions are spent to destroy hospitals far, far away. They just need to vote harder…
