As news breaks of the much-threatened US/Israel-Iran military action now put into action, we turn attention to where our prayers and intentions may be most needed. At the time of recording, the U.S. and Israel have launched what is being described as a major attack on Iran, targeting a large number of sites across the country. Iran has responded with an attack on the US fleet headquarters in Bahrain, and firing missiles into northern Israel. Its Foreign Ministry issued a defiant statement, saying that the country “will not hesitate” in its response. Explosions have also been heard in Qatar and Kuwait, while both Hezbollah in Lebanon have threatened to respond in defence of Iran, provoking potential new conflict with Israel, Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen have vowed to resume attacks on Red Sea shipping routes. The scale of casualties isn’t currently known.
