About this episode

John Dyhouse discusses his unique approach to songwriting and the creative process behind his music.

This is an example of how I write most of my songs. A title, from a phrase I heard or saw somewhere was the start. From there , I start to sing to myself and develop the lyric line by line, maybe with a guitar or uke to develop the harmony and melodies. Very few are based on personal experience and I rarely know where I will end up. maybe not a classical approach, but it has always been my way. The first draft is never sacrosanct and I may not always go forward without copious editing until I feel it is right. So this track is a remix/cover of the song which I first worked on when I worked on with Suno v3,5.
