| 6/20/26 | ![]() Day Dreaming | I enjoyed the last upload, so decided to do a very similar thing with another (whimsical) poem. The Barbershop quartet, the tuba, a little whistling and some woodwind. I very nearly loaded two versions back-to-back, as they are very short. What made me almost do this; the second version of this iteration has a much faster tempo and I thought a repetition of the whole track sounded "cool". However in the end I decided to leave well enough alone, Hope it brings a little smile to you face? | — | ||||||
| 6/18/26 | ![]() Have You Ever Hugged A Tree | Another early poem, set to music. Most of my poems were short and humorous, this is no exception. Set to a brass band sound with the tuba taking the bass line, Just a little fun, hope you like it? | — | ||||||
| 6/16/26 | ![]() You Hide But Nobody Seeks (v5.5) | I have been deliberating about using this poem for a long time; it tells a story of a young man struck with a life changing illness, and describes one of the changes to his life. I have kept the music deliberately minimal as the words say everything. EDIT: I have just realised that I have in fact used this poem before about two months ago. It is a more upbeat and less sad version - I had totally forgotten it, In a way I prefer it but still like this because it is more in tune with the real life situation. NB After listening to this track a few times, I decided to add another stanza. In fact a copy of the intro, becoming an outro. This used the title again. The alternative would have been to change the title - I felt. This seemed to finish the track much more positively. I borrowed the title from a magazine article, as it seemed to be so true in the circumstances. | — | ||||||
| 6/15/26 | ![]() Guitar Dance | Another experiment... Browsing Sound Cloud, as you do, and heard one or two tracks with some fantastic guitar work. Well, it set me thinking; could I cover one or more tracks from my old keyboard tapes/CD. Purely because guitar music is for me the ultimate experience - you may disagree, I won't mind. But I hope you can enjoy this guitar instrumental. I like it and may even see if the old keyboards still work/are in tune. | — | ||||||
| 6/14/26 | ![]() I'm Addicted To You | I was intending to carry on with my experimenting, this lyric when I started writing should have been one to add to A keyboard piece. However I found out that as I was writing I began to feel that it deserved to be a new song, so here is my latest NEW song. My lyrics sung by my cloned voice with music by Suno. The Circle80 Initiative in action. Hope you like it as much as I do! | — | ||||||

| 5/20/26 | ![]() I'd rather not have known | I still seem to be involved with emotions, I did not mean to write this but lacking inspiration, I used what I call the "David Bowie" method. Also known as the "Cut-Up" method. When I need extra help with starting to write a lyric I have used this a number of times in the past few decades - not often - but it can be useful to write something different. Basically, it depends on discovering potential lines/phrases/words in a newspaper or magazine. Cut the found results out and sift and build a lyric. Of course these days there are online apps to do the cutting up, etc. I also allow the use of anything else (textual!) to complete a meaningful lyric. Anyway, I found a couple of titles, this one was chosen for no particular reason and starting building the lyric from the randomly (with a little thought) cut-up collection. I saw a TV interview with Bowie just after he had had a couple of hits, and he described this method when the interviewer asked where he got the ideas for his songs. I have occasionally used it since that time. It can work in difficult times! | — | ||||||
| 5/18/26 | ![]() For Ellen (remix) | A remix of a poem, reflecting on the passing of a well loved grandmother. | — | ||||||
| 5/17/26 | ![]() Your Favourite Bar (Remix) | In an experimental mood again. I wanted to try to add some vocals to one of the classical pieces which I recently uploaded. In a lazy mood so used some lyrics from Suno (my title / theme) as I did not have a lot of time. I simply prompted using the same prompt (Plus vocal information) and this is the result. Not quite what I expected, but then I did not know what to expect. Daniel True is a Suno Persona/Voice. You learn something everyday! But I did like it and so after a little thought, decided to upload to Sound Clound. BTW the remix was to change/edit two lines in the lyric, needed to be changed. | — | ||||||
| 5/14/26 | ![]() Waiting For You | These lyrics were a little different to my usual fare - maybe watching too many You Tube vids. Trying to create a decent song with my usual genres was not working? I tried several things but to no avail. I desperation, I just put two words into the Style box, and clicked on the "magic" button to invoke the help of the AI. This was the result- and I love it | — | ||||||
| 5/11/26 | ![]() Let's Make It Happen | A new song at last, Used an old David Bowie technique, Saw an interview on video a long time ago in which he described where he got some of his song lyrics from. Cutting headlines from newspapers/magazines/etc he used to assemble them into lyrics. Saying this was where he got some of his stranger lyrics from. I don't use his technique as is but do get some inspiration from the odd phrase or maybe a word that I might not use. On this song, I let Suno develop the music, with some judicious prompting. | — | ||||||
