Ep. 390 – Getting people to admit they have a problem
From Just Saying - The BRIEF Lab by Joe McCormack
March 15, 2026 · 15 min · Season 10
About this episode
The episode discusses the importance of gaining permission to address issues rather than trying to convince others they have problems.
Stop trying to convince people they have issues, challenges and problems. It doesn’t work. What’s more effective is a principle of quiet influence based on gaining their permission to discuss and illuminate areas for improvement. They can then make what I call “the admission” by willingly and deliberately admitting what needs to be fixed.
