Her story carries her from Decatur to Harvard, Wall Street to China, and eventually back to Omaha. We talk about ambition, travel, adoption, and family, and what it means to choose a place again after leaving it behind. Susan Thomas grew up in Decatur, Nebraska, and studied at Macalester College, Vassar, and Harvard before building a career that took her to Wall Street. She and her husband adopted two daughters from China, then made the choice to return to Nebraska where Thomas dedicated herself to nonprofit and community endeavors. Her story includes family, career, adoption, travel, and a commitment to local and global community.
