About this episode
Lucy Wylde shares her experience hosting her first burlesque and cabaret show, reflecting on artistry and human connection.
Two days ago on Sunday May 3rd I hosted my first ever show. A burlesque and cabaret show featuring poetry also. It was an AMAZING night! And one where I felt, for the first time as a full grown woman, really supported. The night was full to the brim with artistry, human connection, honest conversations and life-affirming magic... I am so deeply grateful and proud of myself. So in case it helps anyone else (as well as myself to document it) I wanted to share a bit about my experience. In this episode I speak about: just listen :) Themes: burlesque, humanness, motherhood, domestic abuse recovery I mention Zoe Charles, my partner Roly Starr, Ioana Marinca, The Three Guineas pub in Reading At the end, I read two limericks written by me.
