The episode explores the evolving concept of self-love and its significance for women's empowerment and mental well-being.
Wikipedia defined self-love as "love of self" or "regard for one's own happiness or advantage". It was conceptualized both as a basic human necessity and as a moral flaw because people saw it as being likened to vanity and selfishness. However, throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, self-love has adopted a more positive connotation through pride parades. It is being seen as an empowerment tool especially for protecting people’s mental well being. In summary, self-love is not a sin. Neither does it make you a selfish person. On this episode of My Mentor podcast, I shared my perspective of self-love when I was younger and now. Its amazing how life's changes and experiences shape our definition of self-love. Come off that seat woman and lets hear your definition of self-love. What is your definition of self-love?
