A new beginning unfolds for Israel as they enter the promised land through God's miraculous provision and then renew their covenant identity. Before taking possession of the land, the new generation is circumcised and the Passover is observed, marking them as God's reborn people in contrast to the unbelieving generation that died in the wilderness. In this sermon, we consider how Israel's renewal prefigures the renewal God accomplishes in His people through Christ.
