About this episode

The episode covers President Trump's announcement regarding U.S.-Iran relations, immigration issues involving Tou Lue Vang, and conspiracy charges against eight men related to a planned attack.

President Donald Trump announced Friday that the U.S.–Iran ceasefire is over. The president says his administration will continue to hold more talks with Tehran amid the flare-ups in the Middle East, despite suggesting that the regime may not be worthy of a deal. Trump also announced that he will not sign the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act in protest of the Senate not passing the SAVE America Act. The Department of Homeland Security says Tou Lue Vang, an illegal immigrant from Laos, was set to be deported before receiving a pardon last month from Minnesota officials. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stepped in to revoke the legal status of Vang, a child sex offender who was convicted of repeatedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl, and deported him immediately, according to a DHS press release. Eight men were indicted on conspiracy charges over their alleged involvement of a planned attack at the UFC Freedom 250 event held at the White House in early June. According to a press release by the DOJ, all eight individuals were charged in two separate conspiracies on murder and terrorism.
