In this episode of the Tafseer series, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Hanif explains Surah Ṭā Hā (20:17–36), where Allah ﷻ shows Prophet Mūsā عليه السلام some of His great signs. Mūsā عليه السلام’s staff is transformed into a snake, and his hand is made to shine as a miracle, preparing him for the mission ahead. Allah ﷻ then commands Mūsā عليه السلام to go to Fir‘awn, who had exceeded all bounds in his wrongdoing. In response, Mūsā عليه السلام asks Allah to ease his task, grant him clarity in speech, and appoint his brother Hārūn عليه السلام to assist him. These verses highlight Mūsā عليه السلام’s humility, his reliance upon Allah, and his desire to remember and worship Allah abundantly. The passage concludes with Allah ﷻ accepting Mūsā عليه السلام’s request and granting him what he asked for.
