The GREATEST Sporting Event Of My Life - Mets vs Braves 10 Days After The Tragedy Of 9/11
About this episode
The episode reflects on the Mets vs Braves game held 10 days after the September 11 attacks, highlighting the hope baseball brought to America during a difficult time.
This week marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York City. I was both a New Yorker and a baseball writer at the time, and being there that day brings back awful, awful memories. But today, I want to dive into what happened 10 days later, on September 21, 2001, at Shea Stadium, and the HOPE that baseball brought America that night. Have any guests you want to see on the show?
