About this episode

This episode discusses the impact of overthinking on stress and mental health, particularly for men, and explores ways to be more present in life.

This episode is an honest reflection on something most men experience but rarely stop to question. Stress that never seems to switch off. Not because everything is falling apart, but because your mind never stops running. Thinking about what might happen. Running scenarios. Trying to solve problems that do not even exist yet. And in the process, slowly disconnecting from your own life. You are in the room, but you are not really there. You are with your family, but your mind is somewhere else. You are trying to relax, but you cannot switch off. This is how overthinking turns into stress, and how stress turns into burnout. Not overnight. But slowly, over time. In this episode, I talk through my own experience of this and the realisation that most of the pressure we feel is created in our own heads. We explore what it actually means to be present, how to stop living in the future, and why so many high performing men struggle to just be where they are. In this conversation, we explore: Why most of the stress you feel is based on things that never actually happen How overthinking pulls you out of the present moment and into constant pressure The impact this has on your relationships…
