From the wedding brawl that ended up carved on the Parthenon to the forests of the Forgotten Realms, centaurs have one of the richest histories in both real-world mythology and Dungeons & Dragons. In this episode we dig into all of it. We start at the source — ancient Greece, where centaurs weren't just "horse people" but a philosophical argument about civilization versus savagery. We break down the Centauromachy, the infamous wedding battle between the Lapiths and the centaurs that became one of the defining myths of the ancient world, and introduce every major player: Pirithous, Theseus, Caeneus the warrior who couldn't be killed by any blade, and the centaurs who crashed the feast and paid for it.
