As a child, Gail remembers hearing about a creature that allegedly took a hog from a cage. Two weeks later his father experienced aggressive growling and crashing sounds while fishing. Years later, Gail moved near the Sabine River where he began hearing repeated wood knocks, footsteps following him at night, and strange vocalizations echoing near the creek. During deer season he felt surrounded after harvesting a deer. Later experiences followed him across state lines—truck impacts, unexplained screams, eye shine, possible hunting activity, and encounters that extended into the next generation of his family. One of the most chilling moments came at 3:00 a.m. when Gail woke to a vocalization unlike anything he had ever heard—a sound beginning like a bull, shifting into something human, and ending in a roar powerful enough to vibrate his body.
