SASQUATCH THEORY

On this episode of Sasquatch Theory I interview Rene from California. Rene spent years working in remote timber country and one of his most unforgettable experiences began during a logging operation in the Northern Sierra mountains near Mount Lassen. According to Rene, his very first nights in camp were unlike anything he had experienced in the outdoors. He began hearing horrific screams coming from multiple directions in the forest. The sounds were extremely loud and aggressive and reminded him of heavy boards snapping in the woods. At first he tried to explain it away, but the activity continued. About a week later, Rene says something approached his window at night and released a scream so intense it terrified him. Not long after, while driving approximately 55 miles per hour on a state highway, he witnessed what he described as a massive coco-brown creature moving alongside his vehicle. According to Rene, the creature appeared to be running on all fours and somehow kept pace with the truck before striking the vehicle and causing damage. Rene believes the activity may have been connected to the disturbance created by logging operations in the area and wonders if the creature—or creatures—were reacting to changes in their environment. The encounters didn’t stop after leaving the mountains. Rene describes seeing a huge brown-black creature behind his trash cans that moved with unbelievable speed and launched away in a motion he compared to a frog jumping nearly thirty feet. He remembers the fur appearing unusual—almost like fishing line. Later, something slammed the side of his home with such force that he thought a tree had fallen onto the roof, yet there was no evidence anything had hit the house. On another occasion, he heard massive footsteps moving through his yard at night and said the sound was too heavy to compare to normal wildlife. Rene also shares strange reports involving voices in the woods that did not sound like English, repeated rock clacking that seemed organized or intentional, blocked logging roads, unexplained feelings of being watched near the Canadian border, sightings of a black figure in the timber, and even observations of an orange orb and a black triangle in the sky. His daughter later reported unusual activity around their horses, including braided manes and what sounded like a large creature snorting from the tree line while the horses responded. Rene believes these encounters suggest intelligence, communication, and possibly long-term recognition of people who enter certain environments. While many listeners may reach different conclusions, Rene’s stories offer a perspective from someone who spent years working deep in wilderness areas and believes the experiences followed him long after the logging operation ended. In this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I sit down with Pete from North Carolina, an Army veteran and lifelong outdoorsman who has experienced decades of strange activity along the Dan River, Smith River, and throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains. Pete shares a chilling face-to-face encounter where an eight-foot tall Sasquatch approached him and his son while they were hunting. He describes the creature in detail — charcoal gray in color, short hair, muscular build, flat nose, heavy brow ridge, sunken eyes, thin lips, and a powerful presence that appeared both primate and human-like. Over the years, Pete and his family experienced a long chain of unexplained events including missing deer, animals found with broken necks, cow meat placed in trees, barefoot tracks in winter, baby-cry sounds in the woods, screams echoing across riverbanks, red-eyed figures, tree knocks, whistles exchanged across the river, rocks and limbs thrown at fishermen, and massive tree breaks near his home. He also shares stories from friends, local fishermen, hunters, and a former game warden who investigated twisted trees, animal killings, and strange activity — leaving even seasoned outdoorsmen shaken. Pete also discusses mysterious lights moving through the woods, orbs seen at night, and conversations with Cherokee people who referred to these phenomena as “the little people.” This episode is not about one sighting — it’s about a lifetime of encounters that slowly built into something impossible to ignore.
