God always welcome us, do we welcome Him?

Fr Simon discusses the importance of welcoming God in our lives as we expect His welcome in return.
Fr Simon’s draws from Matthew 10:37– on the spirit of welcome. While we often come to Church expecting God to welcome us, Fr Simon invites us to ask whether we are truly welcoming God in return. The Gospel challenges us to examine our attitude: Do we come to Mass only expecting a fast sermon, going through the motions or do we come ready to receive Christ fully? If God welcomes us with love, our response should be to embrace Him and also welcome one another in our daily interactions. Fr Simon challenges us to integrate this spirit of welcome into our spiritual life: to welcome Christ, participate fully in the Mass, and remain open to a fresh encounter with God in every Eucharist. - Sunday Homily by Fr.
