Fr. Prabhu reflects on the hidden burdens we carry and Christ's invitation to find rest in Him.
In this homily, Fr. Prabhu reflects on how we often answer "I'm fine" while secretly carrying hidden burdens - worry, guilt, grief, loneliness. Drawing from the Gospel, he unpacks three movements: 1. Jesus reveals who He is 2. His unique bond with the Father; and 3. What He offers us The homily centres on Christ's invitation, "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." Fr. Prabhu explains the image of the yoke - how an older ox helps carry the younger one's weight - showing that Christ walks beside us, bearing what we cannot. The message for us to reflect on is burdens remain, but we're never alone in carrying them. - Sunday Homily by Fr. Antony Prabhu, C.Ss.R. (5 July 2026)
