This episode of Talk Dodgers to Me is a little different — and I’m extremely proud to be sharing it with you. I’m joined by Ericka Claudio, the first Black woman to create a Super PAC centered on body autonomy. When I first met Ericka, what I thought would be a short conversation ended up opening my eyes in a big way. I learned so much so quickly, and I honestly walked away thinking: if I didn’t know this, there have to be so many others who don’t either. With everything happening in our country right now, it’s easy to feel scared, overwhelmed, or even hopeless at times. What Ericka is building reminded me how powerful it is to lead with values — and how real change starts when we invest in people and platforms that reflect those values, especially in moments when we feel divided. And as unexpected as it may seem, this conversation fits perfectly here. Because baseball, and sports in general, have always been about values. Community. Fairness. Belonging.
