Diana walks listeners through the frightening path to diagnosis, including ER visits, being told she was simply anxious or constipated, an eventual bowel obstruction, emergency surgery, and the discovery that the cancer had spread to four lymph nodes. She also shares the complications that followed, including a leak, a second emergency surgery, an ileostomy, severe weight loss, pleural effusion, abscesses, additional surgery, and the loneliness of healing from injuries and trauma that others could not always see.
