As you read this, it is late June and July is just over the horizon. During my career as a private school leader, this was always my favorite time of the year.  Most of the reasons are pretty obvious: My annual vacation with my family in Ocean City, NJ My favorite holiday is the 4th of July! Warm weather and lots of fun outdoor activities But if I am being honest, there is another reason that I love late June and early July: The building is quiet and no parents are calling me I am not receiving emails from parents with capital letters and exclamation points I am not leaving at the end of the day with a parent living rent-free in my head I hate to be the one that reminds you of this, but when the kids come back in August, the parents come back too… Most parents are fine, or workable or even great! But, some of our parents can cause a lot of stress.
