Jesse Rodriguez adds another champion and division to his resume. Jesse Rodriguez defeated Antonio Vargas in the 6th round to become the new WBA Bantamweight Champion. The fight was back & forth as both guys exchanged punches on the inside with Vargas even landing a few combinations of his own. It wasn’t until the 5th round when the tide changed. Bam knocked down Vargas with a left hand but Vargas beat the count and continued the round. By the 6th round the momentum changed as Rodriguez clipped Vargas with a right and left hook sending him to the floor unable to get up.
