Today's guest, Lenny Kaye couldn't be more suited to The RSD Podcast. He's a celebrated author, guitarist, music journalist, and record producer, who has finally, after all this time, released his very first solo album , Goin' Local, out now from Yep Roc. In addition to his many decades as Patti Smith's guitarist and aide-de-camp, Lenny was also the architect of the highly influential 1972 garage rock/psychedelic compilation, Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, which launched many sequels, and more than a few bands, in its wake. We talk about all of the above, and more, in this very special conversation.
