In this instalment we are joined by very special guest ‘Criminal Justice Chris’ who is a leading online researcher, journalist and blogger to discuss a cold case crime from 1976 that has recently been declared solved by the NYPD and credited to ‘Son Of Sam’ killer David Berkowitz. The NYPD pursued this line of enquiry after they were contacted by a podcaster of all things who believed he had found David Berkowitz’s real first shooting victim Wendy Savino who was shot 3 months prior to the first official Son Of Sam victims Jody Valenti & Donna Lauria which occurred on 29th July 1976 in the Pelham bay area of the Bronx New York. The NYPD on the back of this podcasters theory then proceeded to interview David Berkowitz in prison about his possible involvement in this crime which David denied unreservedly.
