Well, today we analyse the dark side of technology and I ask you to consider the quote included in the most recent book of todays special guest titled ‘The Red Shoes – Our Devil’s Dance with Technology & How To Stop It’ “There are only two industries that call their customers ‘users’; illegal drugs and software.” Quote by Yale Computer Scientist Edward Tufte in The Social Dilemma. Now...Let’s look at Technology….. what is it to you personally? It’s an interesting question to ask yourself, and when you really critically analyse the answers it throws up, it will lead to many other probing questions and most likely some difficult and uncomfortable realisations. In a world where more and more of our physical analogue lives get swallowed up by digital gadgets it may be well past time you asked yourself some truthful questions about the devices we have surrounded ourselves with. Technology is supposed to be a tool we utilise to make life a little easier, hopefully a little better than it was before we had the gadgets we’ve been drip fed by big tech over the years. But…
