Lauren Makler discusses her journey from a tech career to founding Cofertility, focusing on women's fertility options and the importance of partnership and mindset.
#383: Lauren Makler is the CEO and Co-Founder of Cofertility. Prior to this, she was an early Uber employee who founded Uber Health, connecting patients with rides to care. Then, in her late twenties, a rare disease diagnosis threatened her ability to have children. Suddenly, the future she'd imagined disappeared. When she explored her fertility options, she discovered a broken, expensive system. After the birth of her miracle daughter, she made a choice: to leave the security of big tech and build Cofertility, a company that allows women to freeze their eggs for free by donating half to intended parents who can't otherwise conceive. She wanted to ensure everyone who wants to have a baby can experience just that.
