About this episode

Geoff Norcott and Simon Evans discuss the academic struggles of white working-class boys and the general apathy towards significant societal issues.

Simon Evans is back this week as we ponder why no-one seems especially rattled by the possibility of missiles hitting London and financial armageddon. We also look at yet more research showing white working-class boys are falling behind academically and yet more apathy from those who should care about such things. In the Patron only we discuss the launch of SNL UK and how comedy became a culture war issue. CATCH ME ON MY TOUR ‘Basic Bloke 2: There’s No Bloke Without Fire’.
