As I get to the end of my Edinburgh Fringe run I discuss how this festival is destroying itself with left-wing economic thinking. A lot to talk about this week, not least the frankly dystopian advice the Home Office put out reminding asylum seekers not to attack women. Economically, the govt borrowing was higher when it was supposed to be lower so I'm sure that's a really great sign. Elsewhere there was 0.4% growth which Rachel Reeves somehow thinks is to do with her being a brilliant chancellor. It's a welcome return for the reassuring northern good sense and humility of Alun Cochrane.
