About this episode

This episode explores the positive aspects of being alone and how it can lead to personal growth and self-acceptance.

I think being alone gets such a bad reputation, but it’s not the same as being lonely, it’s just something most of us aren’t used to anymore. We’re so used to filling every moment, being around people, distracting ourselves, that when it’s just us, it feels uncomfortable. But the more you actually spend time with yourself, the more you realise it’s not empty, it’s calm. You stop relying on other people to feel okay, and you start feeling more grounded in yourself. And once you get to that point, being alone doesn’t feel like something you need to escape, it actually becomes something you enjoy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
