Proverbs 14:12 states, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death". The Western world has been built upon a foundation deeply influenced by Christian morals and ethical traditions. Many contemporary legal systems and laws reflect and perpetuate principles that align closely with Christian ethical concerns. It doesn't take much effort, to identify the clear parallels between the Ten Commandments and the laws that govern modern societies. An ideal cohesive society is governed by robust and just laws that both guide individuals and promote moral conduct. However, the question arises as to whether being a "good" man is synonymous with being a godly one. In today's nominally Christian yet predominantly secular society, it is often asserted that moral goodness alone is sufficient. So the questions arise, is it enough to be a "good" man?
