About this episode

In this episode, Bob Perry explores the significance of the names of God as a source of peace, righteousness, and presence during challenging times.

Welcome to Day 6 of our Jabez journey! Today, we look at the beautiful names of God that Jabez called upon: Jehovah-shalom (the Lord is Peace), Jehovah-tsidkenu (the Lord our Righteousness), Jehovah-shammah (the Lord is There). Each name reveals God’s heart and His promises to His people and to us. When Israel faced fear and chaos, they found peace and safety in Jehovah-shalom. When they needed restoration and justice, Jehovah-tsidkenu was their redeemer. And in times of exile or loneliness or sadness, Jehovah-shammah was their assurance that God’s presence would never leave them. As we pray today, remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, no matter our circumstances. Heavenly Father, We praise You as Jehovah-shalom, our source of true peace. We ask for a Jesus-type calmness over our hearts, and that the storm of fear will settle down. You are Jehovah-tsidkenu, our righteousness—thank you for restoring and redeeming us and being our guide as our Good Shepherd. And you are Jehovah-shammah, the God who is always present. Even when we feel alone or uncertain, may we experience a sign and a wonder that reminds us that you are always with us. Bless us indeed…
