Most studies have only looked at meditating 7 days per week, but a recent study looked at whether you can get a benefit with just 2 or 4 times per week. In the fall of 2024, Breathe Mediation & Wellness in Dallas teamed up with Texas Women’s University researchers to ask this question: how often do you need to meditate to see the best result? They were looking for the “minimum dosage” of mediation to make a significant impact on a person’s mind and body. This study, which was funded by a grant from the Lichtenstein Foundation, explored qualitative responses of participants, as well as quantitative data. Before the study began, each participant’s brain was scanned at Braincode Centers in Richardson, Texas.
